Same exceptional care, same dedicated teams—fully connected.Step into a career and join a team whose mission is to move lives forward every day!!About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and organized PRN Cook to oversee our food service operations and ensure our clients receive healthy, safe, and nutritious meals. In this role, you will be responsible for planning balanced menus, managing kitchen inventory, preparing meals, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation within our facility.Key Responsibilities

- Meal Preparation & Cooking: Plan, prepare, and serve high-quality, nutritious meals and beverages to clients in a timely and organized manner.Dietary Advocacy: Develop menus that meet client nutritional needs, accommodate dietary preferences, and adhere to clinical and company standards.Inventory & Purchasing: Monitor, order, and purchase weekly food supplies. Ensure a mandatory 3-day supply of food and water is maintained on-site at all times.Sanitation & Safety: Oversee the deep cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of all kitchen, storage, and preparation areas according to company and regulatory standards.Storage & Waste Control: Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and inventory tracking systems to preserve freshness, control costs, and prevent spoilage or loss.Staff Training & Oversight: Train team members on proper food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and specialized client dietary guidelines.Client Care Integration: Identify and report changes in clients' behavioral, medical, emotional, or physical conditions to appropriate team members to support holistic client care.Administrative Duties: Complete required administrative tasks, including inventory logs, training completions, and maintaining up-to-date certifications.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in food service, meal preparation, dietary planning, and nutrition.Certifications: Safe Food Handler certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred or required where applicable.Skills: Strong knowledge of food safety best practices, excellent communication, and active problem-solving skills.Attributes: Reliability, attention to detail, and a compassionate attitude when interacting with clients and staff.Physical Demands: Fast-paced residential or program kitchen environment. Standing for extended periods, lifting food inventory and kitchen supplies, and operating standard commercial or facility kitchen equipment. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
