The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a United Nations related organization, is world’s central intergovernmental forum for scientific and technical cooperation in the nuclear field and contributor to international peace and security. Supporting this mission, the U.S. Support Program to the IAEA, is seeking an Associate Training Officer to work at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria for an assignment of two-three years in the IAEA's Department of Safeguards, Training Section.
The Training Section is responsible for the development, coordination and provision of safeguards related training for the Departmental staff and for personnel of Member States in relation to their obligations under safeguards agreements with the IAEA. The selected candidate will support more senior staff in every aspect of the training process: training needs analysis, training design, development, implementation and effectiveness evaluation. Specifically:
- Assist in the analysis of training needs, training effectiveness and priorities for the staff in the department.
- Design training materials (including eLearning materials)
- Draft procedures and maintain IT tools for the implementation and improvement of training processes
- Provide advice and review of technical content in his/her area of expertise
- Support communication with stakeholders inside and outside the Department and the IAEA.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in training and development, education, information technology, nuclear sciences or other related disciplines.
- Minimum of two years of experience in relevant field.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze data relevant to training.
- Good communication and presentation skills, including preparation and delivery of teaching materials in his/her area of expertise.
- Practical experience in instructional design or adult learning is preferred.
- Experience with eLearning, video and graphic authoring tools for training (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia, Vyond, Adobe Illustrator) is an asset.
- Experience with a Learning Management System (e.g., Moodle, Azure) is an asset.
